Are you as mad about film-making as us? We are looking for an enthusiastic assistant to join our creative team at Ionia Films in central/west London on a professional level feature film collaboration. Training will be given, and experience is not as important as a willingness to learn and participate.

We are currently creating exciting and ambitious low budget feature films. Our previous short The Hunt For Gollum had 15 million views on the net and our current feature 'Looking Over The Dragon' is now building up it's team for a shoot in the Spring - check out the project website for full information about the film: www.lookingoverthedragon.co.uk

This is unique chance to get involved with this exciting collaborative project. If you have the time and energy to get stuck in, we are looking for an personal assistant to the director (Chris Bouchard) and to the producer. This will be a unique opportunity to gain a huge insight behind the film-making process by shadowing experienced professionals through pre-production, shoot and post, whilst learning about all aspects of the filmmaking process. Making films is hard work but also incredibly rewarding. This may suit a student or someone with keen enthusiasm who can afford the time to commit several hours a week between January and April. Duties will include sitting at regular meetings with cast and crew, script readings, castings, shoots and generally supporting the director & producer with the running of the production, covering all and any aspects of filmmaking. Training will be given, and no specific film experience is necessary, just a willingness to learn and get stuck in.

The position is unpaid as everyone working on our team is a volunteer, collaborating for the love of what we do. Everyone is treated equally and expenses are covered. There is also the opportunity to join our deferred payment scheme, so that should the film be a commercial success, everyone will be fairly rewarded for their contribution.

This role might suit a student or someone with a keen interest in production and all aspects of film-making. Good communication and organisational skills are really important. Previous film experience is helpful but not as important as a willingness to learn and become part of a strong creative team.

If interested to get stuck in to this dynamic film-making team, please check out the project on our website links below and send your CV, do mention any specific areas of interest, which role you're applying for (director or producer's assistant), any experience, where you are located (must be London based) and what motivates you to get involved in a production like this.

We look forward to hearing from you.
