The story is about EVERETT, an amnesiac man venturing into the heart of a dark forest. Despite feeling lost in this surreal and ‘alien’ environment, a place that was more meaningful to him when he was a child, he urgently searches for a hidden time capsule that he buried a long time ago when playing with his best childhood friend KIARA. But in order to find it, his fragile mind must track down the recollections of his younger self and young KIARA, and accept the offer of an older KIARA to serve as his mysterious guide down the memory lane. This is a third year final project from Cambridge School of Art. We are a professional crew ready to create a strong piece of art, not just for graduation/showreel but mainly for filmmaking recognition in the industry. We aim to produce a slow burning narrative, carried by minimalistic scenes and illustrated by a dreamy/fairy tale mood. Its eerie visuals, full of mise-en-scene, will be crafted in a delicate way in order to generate honest human warmth from the characters surrounded by woodlands and nature. The theme is about lost memories and second chances. The film itself will be sent to national and international festivals and local cinemas of Cambridge, in order to gain more credibility to those involved, something we can all share.
