This comprehensive ten-session course will provide students with the practical and theoretical knowledge of all aspects of film production. From a script submitted by members of the group, a short narrative film will be scripted, produced, shot and edited using professional digital equipment. In short, this course provides beginners with a mini film school.
Once familiarised with the equipment and theoretical issues surrounding film making, students will participate in the making of a short using the college studios, grounds and other suitable locations.
All stages of the film production process will be covered, with every student taking on specific roles employed in the film making process, including production manager, 1st AD, cinematographer, director, camera operator, and editor. The film will be then by edited using Final Cut Pro with the aim to make the film suitable for festival submission. Marketing and Distribution will also feature on this course, with students compiling effective strategies for both.
The course costs £200. For those on benefits the course is £37 and for over 60s it is £140. To enrol please call 0208 918 7777.
