A twelve session course on the fundamentals of documentary filmmaking.
Once familiarised with the equipment and theoretical issues surrounding film making, students will participate in the making of a short documentary using the college studios, grounds and other suitable locations.
All stages of the documentary production process will be covered, from writing a proposal, to devising a style of approach, interviewing and filming. The film will be edited using Final Cut Pro (version 6). The course is ideal for those with little or no experience or those wishing to brush up on their skills. It could act as a platform to take on more ambitious projects.
The course will run for twelve sessions over Wednesdays and Thursdays starting 11th January to 9th February at the Wandsworth Campus of STC. The course costs £145 or £37 if claiming benefits (£99 for over 60s).
