The Happy Soul Youth Awards are held each year at Wimbledon Odeon cinema, as part of the Festival. We are this year making a public call for submissions for young filmmakers to send us their new films to be considered for these awards. Submitted films must be written and directed by young people (12-25 years old), and explore some aspect of mental health (such as, anxiety, depression, Schizophrenia), wellbeing, and ideally Black and minority ethnic experience, as part of its narrative. Films can be drama, animation, or documentary and should be no more than 2 years old, and shorter than 20 minutes.
The winning film will get a great cash prize awarded by a celebrity, plus every film screened receives a winning certificate from the Festival.
