Event Detail
All workshops are conducted in London in Battersea.

Tuition is provided by those working in film/tv production at ON THE Take 2.We are involved in HD production for television and most recently completed production of 'Vespa A History.' Our workshops are run using examples of recent award winning film/tv productions.

"What makes our workshops unique is that we use our tv/film productions as case studies throughout the course."

About
This course offers an introduction to HDV camera operation and lighting. It is aimed at new and trainee camera operators who have had no formal training in location camera operations. It is a very useful introduction for production personnel needing to gain skills in HDV Camera use. The workshop enables production operators to gain the basic skills and understanding required for digital camera work and lighting techniques. The course will use examples from ON THE Take 2's latest shoot in Italy of 'Vespa A History.'

Course Outline
These are hands-on 1 day workshops covering the following-
set-up of cameras
shooting methods - framing, perspective, depth of field angle of view etc
lights and location shooting
assessment of mixed lighting and colour temperature
microphone types and issues regarding sound quality
shooting with consideration for the final edit
all with reference to our latest production 'Vespa A History.'

Course Outcome
Competence and understanding of location single camera videojournalism, including awareness of shooting for the edit

Each class consists of six students but we also offer individual tuition. Please discuss your requirements with us if you require personal training.
