Entry Information
The festival seeks shorts, features, documentaries that either address queer issues or has queer characters portrayed with sensitivity and understanding. The festival will have both competitive and non-competitive sections as well as some special thematic sections. The competitive section has two categories – national and international. Audience awards and Jury awards are also accorded by voting / ratings.
Entry/Applicant Criteria
The main focus of the festival is Indian films and films pertaining to the Indian diaspora. Films that address queer issues and portray queer characters with an Indian / South Asian context will be considered for entry to the festival.
Festival/Activity Information
Khashish – Mumbai International Queer Film Festival intends to not only highlight and showcase films with queer content prominently but also bring much needed focus and visibility to queer issues – in a non-sensational, sensitive and entertaining way.
