Most of us at some point in the week if not every day, will end up having to pitch, sell or present some type of intangible concept to a reluctant recipient.
So in today’s fast moving, time poor society, how do you engage, retain or captivate someone’s interest? How do you make sure you present your ideas in a clear and concise manner so that the listener will understand and instantly grasp your concept?
Most pitches fail because they have not been thought through, or individuals fail to understand the importance of structure and method in delivery, or they lack careful planning or understanding to the whole point and purpose of the pitch.
Although the “Pitch Factor’ master class has been designed with storytellers and film folk in mind, the learning points are invaluable life lessons in how to grab someone’s attention and convey the concept by delivering a skilled and fluent account of your project.
Lucy V from Bang2write is an articulate and skilled storyteller, who has worked for, and with, some of the leading production companies in the film industry. Lucy is a script reader, story advisor and in addition, she has had to pitch her own work to publishers, agents and producers alike and understands the importance of presenting ideas in a concise and visually enticing manner.
Tickets are now on sale through Lighthouse, Poole Centre for the arts; phone the Box Office on 0844 406 8666 to secure your place on one of these excellent sessions. Places are limited so book early to avoid disappointment.
