Event Detail
On The Take 2's Screenwriting Workshop in the Warehouse is a short writing course for those wishing to develop their screenwriting skills all in a casual relaxed atmosphere.

The course is taken by Georgina Willis, the award winning writer/director of the feature Watermark that made its debut in the Cannes Film Festival.

The course has particular relevance for those who are preparing to be both writers and directors.
In this session we explore the tools available to the screenwriter: story, genre, form, plot, style, and theme. The course is about how film works and provides a fresh perspective on the screenwriting process.
The course includes:
• Introduction – sorting through ideas
• Developing themes
• Stories, plots and narrative
• Drama - Theme and Tone
• Genre
• Character
• Plots
• Treatments and Outlines
• Research
• Dialogue – the pattern of speech
• The Re-write
• Draft Screenplay

We will examine short pieces from various films including The Godfather to see how the 'film language' is developed. Please check availability by contacting us directly. There are limited places available
