Media practice students studying at UWE Bristol. We want to produce a short film that deals with the disease dementia. We hope to put the film forward to festivals in the summer. The film focuses on the love that an elderly lady, Lily, has for her husband, Glyn. The couple live in an old peoples home and wish to get married. Glyn tells Lily everything she wants to hear and arranges all her plans for the wedding and how they will escape the home, despite the seeming coldness and disapproval from the nurse who cares for her. Upon arrival at the church we realise that Lily suffers from a severe form of hallucinogenic alzheimer's disease and her upcoming wedding was all a fantasy and she was in fact re-living distant memories.
